Miss Photogenic.

Whaddup nerds. So with Miss Inverness coming up i've had a few people asking me for advice as far as pageants go, because for my first time i did do incredibly well, and walked away with 2 big awards. I thought if i made a blog post instead of just messaging people it might help out a bit.

1. Be prepared. I left my outfits until the last minute, but they were ready, that's what mattered. But i can remember a couple of the girls stressing to get things ready in time. Don't do that, you WILL be nervous, the last thing you want is to be giving yourself extra stress.

2. Smile. This will sound like an obvious one, i mean you are there to show how good you can look, but with so many things going around in your head you wont be concentrating on your face.

3. Take your time. When you're on the stage take your time, and enjoy every second there. That is YOUR time, that is YOUR moment, don't zoom around the stage. Sashay around, stop, pose, look at the photographers, LOOK AT THE JUDGES.It is hard to know how long you're on the stage for, and if you're anything like me you just want to get off and make all the people stop looking at you. If you want to twirl, or kick your heels or anything that will only ever gain you points, but if you're too nervous or anything don't worry about it.

4. Relax. Props are good. I was terrified for 2 rounds, then i had a whip with my catsuit and because i had something to focus on it made me a lot more chilled. Make sure you feel comfortable in your outfits, especially your evening gown, or catsuit, depending on your pageant. You will be standing, your feet will be sore, and you will be tired by the end, but just keep smiling, be happy, and give it your best.

My last piece of advice is DO NOT go expecting to win. Give it your best, but don't go expecting to win, it's not a good attitude, and it'll make you sound like a bit of a bellend.

Thank you for reading, and good luck!
